Why Terminator Collectibles Are Just as Important as the Movies Themselves!

Back in 1991 Terminator 2: Judgment Day took what began life as a gritty low budget horror / slasher sci-fi movie, with The Terminator (1984), and turned it into a fully-fledged box office dominating franchise.

Sadly though, the wait for a sequel to Terminator 2 would last twelve years, and by the time Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines hit theaters, well, fans were more than ready for new Terminator movies and collectibles.

No Terminator fan will ever forget the intensity of this scene when Sarah Connor realizes her worst nightmare is now her ally.

Despite Terminator 3 (and the movies that followed it) failing to repeat the financial and critical success of the second movie - Terminator fans have always lived in hope of new movies, TV shows, video games, comics, books and collectibles; as every new addition to the franchise has, in one way or another, added to the story, mythos and world of the Terminator, enriching the experience for fans old and young, new and established.

PureArts Terminator 2: Judgment Day’s first 1/1 Scale Art mask was met with praise from the fan community, and its second iteration, depicting a Model 101 which has experienced significant battle damage, just goes to show how a company dealing in collectibles can capture the hearts of collectors with insight into what fans really want to see from the franchise.

Terminator fans would love to see a viscerally realistic, serious and darkly gritty future war Terminator movie - and this collectible easily captures more of that terrifying, post-apocalyptic world, a world that fans want to see and experience more of.

While Hollywood may be questioning the worth of the Terminator franchise right now, the fans, more than anyone else, understand its worth and its untapped potential. Stories still remain to be told and new collectibles (affordable and premium) are always wanted and welcome.

We look toward the future with a sense of hope that the franchise can get back to the success level of Terminator 2, and we hope the PureArts Battle Damaged Edition T-800 Art Mask marks the beginning of more new and exciting collectibles that can once again take Terminator to the top...  where it belongs.
